08 November 2022 – An Update of Striking MultiFlex Ver 2.2.0.1 is Approved.

The difference between Ver 2.2.0.1 and Ver 2.2 released a few days ago is an update to one theme woo template. In the latest woo update they made an unbroadcasted change to a plugin template file which we override with our own in order to allow advanced customization. Theme Woo override templates have to be “synched” to Woo’s template numbering system or one encounters a vary annoying woo message in the dashboard even though the mismatch is usually not an issue (never for our theme). Woo added a class to the Search button code (allows for targeted customization by css) which of course does not affect the theme override template. So we updated the theme build so our woo users could eliminate the woo nags.

The update is approved by ThemeForest and is also pushed via our own update API and should be showing in the dashboard of your website.

Our demo website is already updated to Striking MultiFlex 2.2.0.1, WP 6.1, the latest Woocommerce and is using the new feature of hosting locally google fonts – no font call to the google font api.

The new WordPress core update is not a critical update but it contains many changes as they pursue their Gutenberg Builder expansion. The WordPress core do not impact Striking other then some WordPress core code has changed which can effect content display, especially for the Revolution Slider and many advanced 3rd party plugins (such as event and forum plugins).

Be advised Striking MultiFlex 2.1.9 is available for download from your ThemeForest account soon, and an update notification is now showing in your WordPress Dashboard provided you have toggled on the theme setting (Advanced Settings Panel) that enables notifications for theme updates and your Envato Item Support for our theme is in good standing.

Your Envato License Support has to be up-to-date in order to use the built in theme update function. Like any other premium item if license support is not current the easy update function is non-operative and you have to download the full theme package and install the update by ftp.

We suggest you visit our Support Forum for detailed information on the release or review the changelog in the Envato download package.  We are fully compatible with the newest Woo release Ver 6.3+ including our custom woo templates.  The Changelog in the Version 2.2.0.1 Release Announcement Thread has a detailed information on all changes.
